
Fire Safety in the Workplace
This training session is wholly dedicated to increasing workplace fire safety by means of providing information to benefit: Executive level mgmt., mid-level mgmt., supervisors/leads, safety coordinators, HR professionals, and frontline employees. This training is pertinent to those that work in single story buildings and multi- story buildings.
This training session is conducted by a former Midwest Fire Department Captain, insights and workplace fire safety tips abound in this interactive class, all designed to increase your workplace fire safety knowledge.

How a fire escalates within a building. Terms you may never heard: convection, conduction, radiant heat transfer, and more.

Stages of a fire, from incipient and possible progression

Classes of fire, why it is important to know specifically what is burning, possible impingement

How to use a fire extinguisher, and when not to. Many people walk past a fire extinguisher several times a day, yet don’t know how to use one effectively! Reading the instructions while a fire is escalating will not impress your coworkers.

Note: There is no discharge of a fire extinguisher during this session, nor a live fire demonstration during the course of the class.
